Something new, something blue…

Making a commitment to blogging is in some ways very like a marraige, including the spawn! In this Valiant is no different: Bard of Valiant. I’d say more about it here but I think I already said it there :P

Fantasy Grounds

This program is the be all and end all of online tabletop gaming. I’m just convinced and I haven’t even run a game with it yet. A friend bought the program for one GM and four players after I promised that if he did, I’d see to it we played a game. (We’ve had several abortive attempts to do so online already over the years.)

Today he showed me that they had video tutorials available here:

Watch them. Then drool. It’s just amazing.

Does it cost money? Yes. And I’m convinced it’s worth every bit of it.

Update Dec 08

Haven’t written much the last couple of days on Valiant because a) the task of converting the maps is daunting and b) I’ve been writing adventures. When I’ve finished running the first adventure, I’ll polish it off a bit and convert it to pdf for download. No passwords, completely copyable and with MAPS! So far, I’ve very much enjoyed writing these and it’ll be interesting to actually run them next month. Let me just say DeviantArt is terrific inspiration.

Only after making the adventures available for download will I write up anything resembling a game log for it.
